Business requirements
Women entrepreneurship has become a key driver of Romania’s economic transformation. A leading organization dedicated to advancing the role of women in Romanian society wanted to strengthen its digital presence and better serve its growing community of women entrepreneurs.
They needed a modern, secure, and user-friendly platform to streamline operations, centralize member and event data, and increase engagement. The goal was to create a digital ecosystem where members can connect, enroll, pay membership fees, join exclusive events, and collaborate online in a seamless, end-to-end journey.
Technical approach
The organization previously managed memberships and events using spreadsheets, manual workflows, and email communication. This fragmented approach led to several pain points, so we designed and developed a custom membership and event management platform with modern technologies, using a modular architecture to ensure scalability and maintainability.
To further improve efficiency, the platform integrates an AI-driven microservice powered by a large language model. Through an internal API, it generates suggested summaries and SEO-optimized descriptions for events, which admins can review and approve directly in the interface. This brings generative AI into the existing workflow without adding friction.

- Admin dashboard and access control: Role-based access for organization staff to manage members, track payments, configure events, and monitor key operations from a single place
Time to market
The initial MVP was delivered in three months, allowing the organization to launch the platform in time for its annual summit. The project highlights how digital transformation can benefit nonprofits: simplifying operations, unlocking data-driven insights, and empowering members through a modern digital experience.
