Platform for civic involvement and innovation
Business requirements
Communities change fast, but civic participation lags behind. We live in an increasingly complex reality where societies change rapidly, so are the communities in which we live. To generate the changes we want in our communities requires more civic spirit and trust in individual and collective power.
As NGOs need better ways to identify promising local initiatives, connect motivated citizens with opportunities, and amplify small actions into real neighborhood improvements, we joined the effort of building a platform for civic involvement and innovation, which is a mechanism to identify, connect and amplify the impact of local civic initiatives that contribute to improve the quality of life and strengthening local democracy.
Technical solution
Through multiple conversations with stakeholders and making sure we were solving their real civic engagement challenges and not just building another generic platform for NGOs, we engineered a custom platform that captured the unique rhythm of their organization. The goal was simple, but ambitious ‐ to create a digital space where citizens easily discover local initiatives, collaborate and track real community progress.
Every design decision came from those stakeholder conversations, ensuring the platform drives actual participation, providing a user-friendly interface that aligns perfectly with the vision of the program.
